This is my hiraya life.
This is a space where contemplation is a conversation, melancholy is our fuel, and nostalgia is our friend. It’s where vulnerability is welcome and understood as what truly makes us human.
This fast evolving world is getting too noisy for our minds that is meant to be nurtured with art and culture, reflections in nature, and poetry and literary pursuits. We need to find more grace-filled spaces and make living everyday a little slower.
Hiraya is an ancient Tagalog word which means a deeper form of sana (hopefully). It is the ‘fruit of one's hopes, dreams, and aspirations’. My desire is to inspire you to also dream, to find your own hiraya life.
All photos are my personal photos unless stated otherwise.
The goldfish and the shark
Once upon a time, there was a goldfish swimming around the big vast ocean.
Timekeeper's Tea
I woke up this morning wanting to make tea. I slid open the tea drawer stared at the multiple jars on display. What am I having today?
On the other side
If I listened to people in my past who told me to stop being so sad, to stop writing words that are too deep and too real, to stop it with the "unreachable" dreams… I don’t think I would be here.
Spring countdown
In four days it will be spring.
Everyone is asleep
but in my head
I am already dancing
